Part 2) Adjustable RC Circuit Filters
10 KΩ potentiometer & 1 µF capacitor
10 KΩ potentiometer & 1 µF capacitor
- Corner Frequency = 1 / (2pi * 10,000 Ω * 0.000001 F) = 15.9 Hz
- Corner Frequency = 1 / (2pi * 10 Ω * 0.000001 F) = 15,915.5 Hz
- Corner Frequency = 1 / (2pi * 100,000 Ω * 0.0000001 F) = 15.9 Hz
- Corner Frequency = 1 / (2pi * 100 Ω * 0.0000001 F) = 15,915.5 Hz
Part 4) Final Project
I think it would be interesting to build a monophonic synthesizer or tone generator. And later in the semester, I think I would be able to add a few filters and LFO. It would be more challenging to build a poly phonic synthesizer or tone generator with band filters, 3-band EQ, and an external audio-in. I think it maybe possible with some research. Taking Electronic Music Synthesis course with Professor Tom Beyer made me find more interest in analog synthesizers. So I would love to understand how professional analog synthesizers, like Mopho x4 and MS-20, are designed and how they work. And I think it could be helpful for my final project.
